The traditional flower of life is made by placing a hexagon inside a circle, and placing the center of six additional circles on the vertices of the hexagon.

Interestingly, a cube can be made quite easily from a hexagon.

By adding an eighth circle onto the far back vertice of the cube, and turning the circles into spheres, we get a 3-D flower of life.
